Ice Cream Scoopers/Ice Cream Maker

Part Time/ Full Time Job positions available

Weekends/Nights required. Starting at $11.00 hourly plus tips. Scheduled shifts typically range between 4-10 hours during which time the scooper will have direct sales contact with customers, remain on their feet for the entire period, handle financial transactions and maintain a healthy , fun and relaxing atmosphere.

Essential Job Functions: We are looking for incredibly outgoing, hard working and responsible scoopers. Maintain a friendly, high-energy attitude when interacting with brown dog customers and other employees. Ensure that all ice cream served to the customers meet brown dog’s proportion and quality standards that a Trip Advisor Top 10 ice cream shops in the US requires. Must be able to use a cash register and accurately handle transactions. Possess phone answering skills. Follow housekeeping and sanitation policies in the customer, serving and kitchen areas. Ensure that the inventory of ice cream and serving containers are adequately maintained to properly serve brown dog’s customer.

Non-essential Job Functions: Brown dog is a team-based work environment and all employees may be asked to perform tasks that may not be directly related to their specific assignment. Each employee is expected to help out as needed, provided that his/her primary duties will not be neglected. Interact with wholesale and retail customers and ensure that their questions, concerns and requirements are met.

Requirements: 14+ years of age. Be able to lift up to 50lbs. Ability to stand for long periods of time to serve people in long lines. Willingness to clean. Ability to read and write English. Excellent interpersonal communication, math and problem solving skills. Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays. Have reliable transportation to and from work.
